Synopsis:
In Genesis, Adam names Eve; in the strip club, Edie names herself. Working at the club means going against everything she was taught about dignity, morality, and gender roles, and her first shifts are haunted by the voices of her past. That is the price to pay for biting the forbidden fruit.
The film is a personal letter written by Edie to her younger self, and it follows her journey of liberation from those voices. She reflects on how she pursued her childhood dream of becoming a writer, balancing her work as a sex worker to make time for writing. Edie built her own Garden: she bit from the forbidden fruit, but she did not die, and killing God becomes a metaphor for freeing herself from social norms and shame.
